First Reading of the Season!

Martin Pousson in New Orleans

Our very first reading of the 2008 Spring season will be held this upcoming Tuesday, January 15th at 7 p.m. at the Columns Hotel (3811 St. Charles)!

This event is super-special not only because it’s the first of the year, but it also marks our one year anniversary and the glorious reading of a glorious man–Martin Pousson!

Martin helped us conceive and found this series in the fall of 2006, and get it off the ground in the spring of 2007–he is our papa, our mentor and our patron saint!  He is coming all the was from Los Angeles, and we are so happy to welcome our beloved Martin back as a featured reader for our anniversary event!

Check out some of Martin’s writing, as well as an interview with him, to your right under the “read” section.

We hope to see you all there on Tuesday evening–come early for a good seat and a drink! Also, Garden District Book Shop will be there selling Martin’s book of poetry, “Sugar,” which you can get signed!

Student readers from Loyola and UNO will take the mic after Martin!

See you on Tuesday the 15th at 7 p.m.!
